This Privacy Policy explains how Health Bingo collects, uses, stores and protects information when you use our website, mobile app and related services.

Health Bingo is a health-habit challenge app designed to help people build healthier habits through bingo cards, points, badges, group encouragement and friendly competition.

2. What information we collect
When you use Health Bingo, we may collect information such as:
- your name, email address and account details
- your display name or profile information
- whether you are using the app as a Host or Player
- challenge names, challenge themes and challenge settings
- bingo cards selected or created by Hosts
- tasks completed, Bingo submissions, points, badges and leaderboard activity
- group chat messages and challenge participation activity
- customer support messages or enquiries
- technical information such as device type, app version, usage data and error logs
- payment-related information for Hosts who purchase Premium or Pro challenges
For Pro Challenges with weight-loss features, Players may also choose to enter weekly weigh-in data.
3. Weight-loss challenge privacy
Weight-loss features are available in Pro Challenges only.
If a Player enters weekly weigh-in data, their actual weight is kept private. The app may use that information to calculate percentage-based progress, such as:
- whether the Player has recorded any weight loss
- who has achieved the highest percentage weight loss for the week
- eligibility for weight-loss-related badges
Health Bingo does not disclose a Player's actual weight to the Host or other Players. Players may be able to see their own private visual graph showing their weight changes over time.
By choosing to enter weigh-in data, you consent to Health Bingo using that information to provide the relevant Pro Challenge features.
4. How we use your information
We use information to:
- create and manage Health Bingo accounts
- allow Hosts to create and manage challenges
- allow Players to join invited challenges
- display bingo progress, points, badges and leaderboard results
- support group chat and challenge celebrations
- calculate challenge results and achievement badges
- provide optional weight-loss challenge features in Pro Challenges
- process Host payments for Premium or Pro challenges
- respond to support requests
- improve the app, website and user experience
- detect, prevent and respond to technical issues, misuse or safety concerns
- comply with legal obligations
5. What other Players may see
Depending on the challenge, other Players may be able to see information such as:
- your display name
- points and badges earned
- leaderboard position
- chat messages you choose to send
- when the app celebrates a submitted Bingo in the group chat
Private information, such as your actual weight in a Pro weight-loss challenge, is not shown to the group.
6. Hosts and Players
A Host can create and manage a challenge, invite Players and view challenge activity.
Players can join invited challenges, complete bingo cards, submit Bingo, participate in chat and appear on the leaderboard.
Hosts do not receive access to a Player's actual private weight data.
7. Payments
Players do not pay to join invited challenges.
Hosts may choose to purchase a Premium or Pro challenge. Payments may be processed through the relevant app store, in-app purchase system or payment provider.
Health Bingo does not store full payment card details unless clearly stated by the payment provider.
8. Group chat and user-generated content
Health Bingo may include group chat and other user-generated content, such as challenge names, bingo cards and messages.
We may review, moderate, remove or restrict content if we believe it breaches our Terms & Conditions, Community Guidelines, safety standards or legal obligations.
Users can report inappropriate content or behaviour through the app or by contacting us at support@healthbingo.com.au.
9. Sharing information
We do not sell personal information.
We may share limited information with trusted service providers who help us operate Health Bingo, such as:
- hosting and cloud storage providers
- analytics and app performance tools
- payment processors or app stores
- customer support tools
- email or communication tools
- security and fraud-prevention providers
- professional advisers where required
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the safety of users, or to protect the security and integrity of Health Bingo.
10. Overseas disclosure
Some of our service providers may store or process information outside Australia.
Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure personal information is handled securely and in accordance with applicable privacy obligations.

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
No app, website or online service can guarantee absolute security, but we work to keep Health Bingo safe and secure.

You may contact us to request access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you.

13. Deleting your account
You may request to delete your Health Bingo account through the app or by contacting us.
When an account is deleted, we will take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify personal information, unless we need to keep certain information for legal, security, payment, dispute resolution or record-keeping purposes.
14. Marketing communications
We may send you service-related messages about your account, challenges or app updates.
We may also send marketing communications where permitted. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link or contacting us.
15. Cookies and analytics
Our website and app may use cookies, analytics tools or similar technologies to understand usage, improve performance and support security.
You may be able to manage cookies through your browser or device settings.
16. Children and younger users
Health Bingo is intended for users who are old enough to understand and participate in health-habit challenges responsibly.
Users under 16 should only use Health Bingo with the consent and supervision of a parent, guardian or responsible adult.

Some information you choose to provide, such as weight-related information in a Pro Challenge, may be sensitive.
We only collect this information where it is reasonably needed to provide the relevant Health Bingo feature and where you choose to provide it.
