Community Guidelines
Effective date: 9 July 2026
Health Bingo is designed to be a positive, encouraging space where people can build healthy habits together.
These Community Guidelines explain how users are expected to behave when using Health Bingo, including group chat, challenge names, bingo cards and other shared features.
1. Keep it kind
Health Bingo should feel supportive, light and encouraging.
You agree to treat other users with respect, even when challenges become competitive.
Do not bully, shame, harass, threaten or intimidate another user.
2. Keep chat challenge-related
Group chat is designed for challenge-related encouragement, accountability, celebrations and friendly conversation.
Please do not use Health Bingo chat for:
- unrelated promotions
- spam
- arguments
- harassment
- advertising
- scams
- inappropriate links
- content that makes other users feel unsafe or uncomfortable
3. No body-shaming or weight-shaming
Health goals are personal.
Do not shame, criticise or pressure another user about their body, weight, appearance, food choices, fitness level, health status or personal circumstances.
Encouragement is welcome. Pressure, judgement or comparison that makes others feel uncomfortable is not.
4. No unsafe health advice
Do not use Health Bingo to promote unsafe, extreme or harmful health behaviours.
This includes content that encourages:
- extreme dieting
- starvation or fasting in an unsafe way
- over-exercising
- dangerous weight-loss methods
- eating disorder behaviours
- misuse of medication or supplements
- harmful body-image content
Health Bingo is not a place to give medical, nutrition, mental health or weight-loss advice unless you are qualified to do so and it is appropriate in the context.
5. Respect privacy
Do not share another person's private information without permission.
This includes:
- actual weight
- health information
- contact details
- screenshots
- private messages
- personal circumstances
- photos or identifying information
In Pro weight-loss challenges, the app may calculate percentage-based progress for badges, but actual weight is private and should not be shared by others.
6. Keep it appropriate
Do not post, share or create content that is:
- abusive
- hateful
- discriminatory
- sexually explicit
- violent
- threatening
- misleading
- unlawful
- offensive
- designed to embarrass or humiliate another person
7. No spam or promotions
Do not use Health Bingo to promote unrelated products, services, businesses, links, fundraising, schemes or advertising unless Health Bingo has given written permission.
8. Play fairly
Health Bingo is meant to be fun, motivating and based on honest participation.
Please only tick off bingo cards and submit Bingo when you have genuinely completed the task or challenge activity.
Do not mark off tasks you have not completed, claim points or badges you have not earned, or use another person's account.
Friendly competition is part of the fun, but Health Bingo works best when everyone plays honestly and keeps the challenge positive.
9. Reporting concerns
Users can report inappropriate content, chat messages or behaviour through the app or by contacting support@healthbingo.com.au.
10. What happens if the guidelines are breached?
If we believe a user has breached these Community Guidelines, our Terms & Conditions or safety standards, we may take action.
This may include:
- removing content
- warning a user
- restricting chat access
- removing a user from a challenge
- suspending or closing an account
- taking other action we consider appropriate
We may act without prior notice where needed to protect users or the Health Bingo community.
11. The spirit of Health Bingo
Health Bingo is here to make healthy habits feel more doable, social and fun.
Cheer people on. Celebrate small wins. Keep it kind. Keep it safe. Keep it fun.
